Studies have shown time and time again that the more senses we engage when learning, the more we retain what we learn. When children sit and are “told” information, they are only engaging one of their senses. They are put at a disadvantage and can not be expected to retain what they are taught, nor can they be expected to enjoy learning. Our aim is to engage as many of the senses as possible.
